2018-19 Annual Report
Hāpai Te Hauora continues to stand at the forefront of public health issues in Aotearoa. The previous year has seen strong consolidation in our existing contract areas as well as exciting new additions to our portfolio of work. Hāpai is well positioned to grow further in 2019/20 with opportunities to extend both our contract base and our innovation, research and evaluation offerings.
2017-18 Annual Report
Hāpai Te Hauora (Hāpai) continues to lead the public health sector in New Zealand with a focus on Māori as tāngata whenua and partners under Te Tiriti, and Pasifika as a key population group. Hāpai now have four national contracts and three regional contracts. The national contracts deliver services for all New Zealanders, reflecting the recognition that Māori leadership in health can deliver for all the people of Aotearoa. Hāpai leads the news agenda on public health issues as the key contact for media. This reflects our connectivity to Māori communities our oversight of the sector through our contracts and collaborative relationships.
2015-16 Annual Report
Hāpai Te Hauora (Hāpai) has continued to expand its leadership role in the Public Health Space, now having three national contracts and three regional contracts. All three national contracts are for everybody in New Zealand highlighting that Māori can lead in the way in health for all communities. Hāpai continue to be the voice of Māori in Public Health on a number of organisations including: New Zealand Health Promotion Forum, Injury Prevention Aotearoa, New Zealand Public Health Association, National Smokefree Coalition, National Smokefree Working Group and the Addictions Practitioners Association Aotearoa – New Zealand, Healthy Families Waitakere and Healthy Auckland Together.

The last year has seen Hāpai Te Hauora (Hāpai) expand its leadership and advocacy role in the Public Health Space. Hāpai are now the voice of Māori in Public Health on a number of organisations including: New Zealand Health Promotion Forum, Injury Prevention Aotearoa, New Zealand Public Health Association, National Smokefree Coalition, National Smokefree Working Group and the Addictions Practitioners Association Aotearoa – New Zealand.
2013-14 Annual Report
The last year has seen some significant changes for Hāpai. The Head Office moved to the Whanau Centre, Level 1 in Henderson in January 2014. This gave the Hāpai team a larger work space and more professional environment including a separate break out office and overall a better office layout. Hāpai transferred their Back Office arrangements to a shared arrangement which has generated cost efficiencies and improved monthly, quarterly and annual financial reportage. With the move, Hapai updated their Phone and IT Systems improving efficiencies even further across the organisation.
